The artwork “Fragment des Regens” was created in 1999 by the artists Lutz Dölle (1958) and Roland Stelter (1953) for the Osnabrück urban space. [Fragment is another word for section.] It is a portal consisting of three marble columns supporting a gold-painted steel girder. A fourth, black column stands next to it. It is barely visible from the outside, but the work of art can be moved. When enough rainwater has flowed through a hidden channel, the steel girder tilts a little.
