Hermann Pohlmann

“Erdskulptur II”

For his artwork “Earth Sculpture II”, Hermann Pohlmann (*1955) has erected 5 large sandstone blocks on the Westerberg. They cross the path there so that pedestrians walk past them. They were erected there in 1989 as part of the “Echo Project”. Various artists each made a work in the city centre and a work in response to it in the higher outskirts of the city. The corresponding work “Echo” is located in Katharinenstraße.
The work “Echo” by Jochen Piepmeyer was also part of this project. It is located at the Schlossgarten.
